The Oslo accords divided the West Bank into 3 areas (A, B, and C). The largest part, Area C (in light green) is lightly populated and under full Israeli military control. Israeli settlers are now moving in, expelling the Palestinian peasants who live there, forcing them into areas A and B. Peter Larson was one of three speakers at “Gaza: the living museum of the Palestinian Nakba”, a meeting organized in Montreal on June 4th.
May 15th is designated Nakba Day by Palestinians. It commemorates the “catastrophe” that befell the Palestinian people as they were violently expelled from their homes and villages by Zionist militias in 1947/48.
