The Oslo accords divided the West Bank into 3 areas (A, B, and C). The largest part, Area C (in light green) is lightly populated and under full Israeli military control. Israeli settlers are now moving in, expelling the Palestinian peasants who live there, forcing them into areas A and B. It commemorates the “catastrophe” that befell the Palestinian people as they were violently expelled from their homes and villages by Zionist militias in 1947/48. The total number of Palestinian homes destroyed in the 67 years since the creation of Israel almost certainly exceeds 100,000. Why does Israeli do that?
