Dr. Kattenburg’s one man battle with the CBC over its reporting on the Israel/Palestine issue should go public

Dr. David Kattenburg (r) has been waging a protracted battle with CBC for over a year over its poor reporting on the Israel/Palestine issue. His most recent issue has been over the fact that CBC has accepted an argument put forward by Mike Fegelman (l), Executive Director of Honest Reporting Canada (HRC) that Israel has NO RESPONSIBILITY for providing Covid 19 vaccination to the Palestinians which it holds under military occupation. Kattenburg has repeatedly presented CBC with official legal arguments to the contrary, which CBC has stubbornly ignored. CTIP interviewed Dr. Kattenburg about his determined struggle. Is this just an oversight, or is his impressive work in other areas really a cover for his main interest? Read more…

It is part of a program which Israel officially calls “Judaization”. In effect, it is a kind of “ethnic cleansing”. Palestinians are not killed, of course, just forced to leave their homes, in an effort to remake the traditionally multiethnic and multireligious city of Jerusalem into a “Jewish City” and the capital of the Jewish State. For Canadian Friends of Peace Now, a liberal Zionist organization, things are going too far. Check out their webinar on Sunday February 21. Read more…

Marc Garneau loudly claims he “strongly supports the International Criminal Court and (…) the rules based international order”… except when that court wants to investigate Israel

Canada’s new Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau (l) had to do some fast footwork after the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced it had authorized its chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda (r) to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes. This posed a dilemma for Minister Garneau. How to claim support for international law, while at the same time protecting Israel? His staff at Global Affairs Canada found him a neat legalistic loophole. But it doesn’t bring any distinction to him, or to Canada. Read more….
