Judaism is a religion that has existed for several thousand years, notes Professor Yakov Rabkin of the University of Montreal. Zionism on the other hand, is a relatively recent political movement which developed in the late 19th century in response to European antisemitism. Canada appears more interested in supporting a “2 state solution” than in defending Palestinian human rights

Canada’s new Minister of Global Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, has finally spoken out about Israel – well sort of. Despite many recent Israeli violations of Palestinian human rights both in the occupied territories and inside Israel itself, a recent announcement seems to show her main preoccupation lies with promoting an increasingly improbable two state solution. Green Party of Canada ratifies motion to increase pressure on Israel

“Fifty years of occupation demands action”- Catholic Bishops

When they were blocked from entering Gaza in 2015 to meet with the Christian community there, a delegation of Catholic Bishops from around the world did a spontaneous “pray-in” in front of the checkpoint.
