On Dec 12, Israeli soldiers raided the Freedom Theatre in Jenin, a renowned cultural institution whose mission is to promote justice, equality and self-determination for Palestinians. Two of the theater’s producers, Ahmed Tobasi and Mustafa Sheta, were taken away by Israeli troops. Their whereabouts are still unknown. Assembly of First Nations recognizes Palestinians as indigenous people, backs permanent Gaza ceasefire
Wilton Littlechild of Ermineskin Cree Nation brought forward a resolution at the AFN Special Chiefs Meetings calling for a ceasefire in Israel and Palestine. It was overwhelmingly adopted. It’s a big set back for the Israel lobby which has been courting indigenous peoples. (Screenshot/CPAC)
