UWO rejects pressure from Israeli lobby group over UN special rapporteur
UN Watch, a pro-Israel lobby group based in Geneva has attacked the University of Western Ontario for providing office support to law professor Michael Lynk, who was named two years ago by the UN as a Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian territories. Canada-Palestine Friendship group re-established on Parliament Hill
The Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group (CPPFG) has been reconstituted on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. It will be chaired by Liberal MP Marwan Tabbara (l). Its two vice chairs are NDP member Alexandre Boulerice (top right) and Bloc Quebecois MP Mario Beaulieu (bottom right). Green Party leader Elizabeth May is also a member. Read more.
