The reports about what is happening at the Palestinian “Right of Return” march in Gaza could not be more contradictory. UN rapporteur Michael Lynk (left) says Israeli soldiers are firing on peaceful demonstrators. Toronto group offers new “toolkit” for groups who want to remember the “Nakba” on its 70th anniversary

A new internet-based “action kit” (called Nakba70action) filled with resources about the history of Israel/Palestine has been put on line by Robert Massoud, a Palestinian Canadian living in Toronto. He hopes it will be useful to groups or individuals who would like to find a way to mark the 70th anniversary of the “Nakba” (or disaster) that befell Palestinians in 1947/48. Read more… (more…)

Palestinian youths call on Canadian representative in Ramallah to “come and see” as Israeli snipers kill Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza

Tens of thousands of Palestinians demonstrated inside Gaza yesterday demanding the right to return to their homes. It is reported that 15 Palestinians have been killed on one day by Israeli snipers and even tanks shooting into Gaza territory. Our Gaza correspondent has written to Canada’s representative in Ramallah, inviting him to come to see who is being violent. Read his urgent plea.
