United Church minister calls on Trudeau and Champagne to reconsider their accusation that boycotting Israel is “anti-Semitic”.

Reverend Steve Berube of St-Paul’s United Church in Riverview, NB. has been in Palestine several times. In 2018, he frequently visited Ofer Prison where Palestinian children are tried in Israeli courts. He also visited hospitals where other children are being treated as a result of injuries inflicted by Israeli police or military forces. In a painful personal letter to Prime Minister Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Champagne, he explains why boycotting Israel has nothing to do with anti-Semitism and everything to do with human rights. Tarek Loubani and Alex Neve get standing ovation from enthusiastic Ottawa crowd

Dr. Tarek Loubani entranced a sell-out crowd of about 300 in Ottawa on January 14th with his graphic descriptions of working as an emergency doctor in Gaza under fire from Israeli army snipers. Prior to Loubani’s presentation, Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada called for an end to the blockade of Gaza and for banning the sale of weapons to Israel. Read more. “There is no political split in Israel, they are all right of centre”, Israeli scholar tells Ottawa U group

Michael Koplow, (centre) of the Israel Policy Forum, had some shocking words about Israel for a group of students and professors at the University of Ottawa on October 24th. Other panelists included Professors Costanza Musu (l) and Peter Jones (r).
