“The Palestinians in Gaza should be allowed to go back to today’s Israel”: former UN official

Donald Trump proposed ethnic cleansing of Palestinians who are vigourously resisting by streaming back to northern Gaza and rebuilding. But even in Gaza, they are still refugees. “The real answer is for them to go back to the current state of Israel, from where they were expelled in 1947/48”, says Michael Lynk, former UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Palestinians. Gaza starts rebuilding… Canada should help

Soon after the ceasefire was announced, Palestinians streamed north to find their destroyed houses and begin to clean up. Palestinians are already eagerly reopening wells blocked by Israeli troops, bulldozing rubble left by Israeli bombs and even repainting walls!!. By hand and using remaining and donated machinery, they have started to make Gaza liveable again. Some countries have started to help. Canada could do so as well…

Group of 78 hosts discussion on competing visions for peace in Israel/Palestine

Peter Larson, Chair of the Ottawa Forum on Israel/Palestine, and Reuven Shultz, member of Canadian Friends of Peace Now, were invited by the Ottawa-based Group of 78, to share visions for peace in the middle east. The discussion revealed many points of agreement, but also some fundamental differences. Watch the video of the event.

President-elect Donald Trump said that because Greenland and Panama are vital for US security, he would not rule out using military force to take them over. Will anybody try to claim this is antisemitic?

Over a hundred Jews and allies briefly occupied the Confederation building in Ottawa in a peaceful sit-in on Parliament Hill on Tuesday, December 3rd calling for a full and immediate arms embargo against Israel. In song, prayer, and speeches, they called for our politicians to end Canada’s arming of Israeli genocide in Gaza. Learn more.
