Open letter to Prime Minister Carney: put Gaza on the G7 Agenda in Kananaskis

Canada hosted the G7 summit (then G8) in Kananaskis in 2002. This year Prime Minister Carney will be the host again on June 15-17. The host leader sets the agenda. The embarassment that israel calls “Canada Park” is almost completely wiped out by wildfires

Over 70 percent of an area Israel calls “Canada Park” was destroyed by a wildfire which raged across central Israel on May 1. The “park” is located on the ruins of three Palestinian villages which were ethnically cleansed in 1967 and later physically destroyed. Read more.

Norwegian Member of Parliament nominates Jeff Halper and Issa Amro for 2025 Nobel Peace Prize

Issa Amro (left) is a Palestinian human rights activist from Hebron in the West Bank. Jeff Halper (right) a Jewish Israeli who lives in Jerusalem. “My nomination of Amro and Halper is a call to action for the international community,” said Norwegian MP Ingrid Fiskaa who sponsored the nomination. Retired Canadian General heads up new ngo aimed at defending Israel

As head of Canadian Armed Forces (2005 to 2008), General Rick Hillyer (ret’d) was chiefly responsible for convincing Canada to send a large contingent of troops to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan. He now has a new fight as honorary patron of “Allies for a Strong Canada”, a Canadian NGO whose main objectives are to combat antisemitism and increase Canadian support for Israel. Read more.
