Canada (again) narrowly dodges a dangerous bullet at UN Security Council!

Fourteen of the UN Security Council’s 15 members approved a motion to condemn US President Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. The US vetoed the resolution and even went so far as to threaten other members of the council saying their act “would not be forgotten”. Israel lobby head announces CIJA strategy on Jerusalem

Shimon Fogel, CEO of CIJA, Canada’s largest pro-Israel lobby group, was disappointed he couldn’t get the Canadian government to support Trump’s move on Jerusalem. But in a conference call with over 1000 supporters, he outlined a plan “B” aimed at getting Canada to recognize the “special and unique relationship of Jews to Jerusalem”. Canada isolates itself (again this year) in multiple UN votes on Israel/Palestine

Canada was one of only 7 countries defending Israel in the United Nations General Assembly last week. Canada voted with Israel, the USA and a handful of Pacific Island microstates to defend Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, and opposing self determination for Palestinians. Read more…
