Tens of thousands of Palestinians demonstrated inside Gaza yesterday demanding the right to return to their homes. It is reported that 15 Palestinians have been killed on one day by Israeli snipers and even tanks shooting into Gaza territory. Our Gaza correspondent has written to Canada’s representative in Ramallah, inviting him to come to see who is being violent. Read his urgent plea.

Ahmed Alnaouq, 23, graduated from Al-Azhar University in Gaza City, with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. A resident of the Gaza community of Deir Albalah, he says his dream is to advance the cause of Palestinian human rights and to expose the “human face” of the Israeli occupation. Professor Michael Lynk, of Western University Law school, is the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In his most recent report, he recommends to the UN General Assembly that it examine whether the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory is still legal after 50 years. Read more…
