For weeks, Prime Minister Trudeau maintained silence on the rising number of deaths of unarmed Palestinian protesters in Gaza despite increasing calls for him to say something. There was already some evidence that the Israeli killings of unarmed protesters was starting to influence how mainstream publications are reporting the events. A new internet-based “action kit” (called Nakba70action) filled with resources about the history of Israel/Palestine has been put on line by Robert Massoud, a Palestinian Canadian living in Toronto. He hopes it will be useful to groups or individuals who would like to find a way to mark the 70th anniversary of the “Nakba” (or disaster) that befell Palestinians in 1947/48. Read more… (more…)
