On April 6, 2018, a tragic accident in Humboldt, Saskatchewan took the lives of 16 young people. All of Canada was shocked and in mourning. Six and a half years later, the survivors and their families struggle to live with the physical and emotional consequences. CIJA, B’nai Brith and some other pro-Israel organizations have called CUPE Ontario president Fred Hahn antisemitic because he re-posted a satirical cartoon critical of Israel. Ontario Premier Doug Ford is even pressuring CUPE’s National Executive Board to dump him. But Hahn is fighting back and gaining support among CUPE members. Watch the video and see what you think.
