Government of Canada offers tax free way to help Israel bomb Gaza

If you approve of Israel’s attack on Gaza – which many international organizations have labelled an Israeli genocide – the Government of Canada has a way for you to help while minimising your taxes. Great deal. Read more….

Israel Bonds has launched a splashy campaign pointing out that the Government of Canada’s TFSA regulations have been bumped up to $102,000 this year. This means, they point out, that anyone who wants to support Israel in its genocidal campaign in Gaza, can now do so by buying more Israel bonds while escaping the Canadian tax man.

Over half those killed in Gaza are children. Those still alive are orphaned, maimed and terrorized.

Israel Bonds thinks this is a good idea.

But, if you believe:

  • Reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and B’Tselem, which have issued documented reports arguing that that Israel is committing genocide…
  • well known Israeli scholar and Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies Omer Bartov‘s claim of genocide
  • that the International Court of Justice had good reason to determine Israel was committing “plausible genocide” in Gaza over a year ago
  • Palestinian claims that Israel is trying to exterminate them
  • Or, if you just believe easily available on the ground reporting….

….. Then you might want to write to the new Minister of Revenue, the Honourable Élisabeth Brière, (Elisabeth.Briere@parl.gc.ca) who took office on December 20, 2024. Tell her that you don’t want your taxes to subsidize Israeli genocide and that Israel Bonds should be banned from TSFA accounts. A copy to your own MP should also be considered.

  2. The Canadian gov is contributing to the historic holocaust in Gaza by sort of “looking the other way”, just as we contributed to the holocaust in the 1940s by sort of staying out of it. That is, we didn’t run any gas ovens then and we don’t have soldiers firing rockets and bullets at Gazans now.
