A new documentary called “Israelism”, questions the relationship between American Jews and the State of Israel. Featuring interviews with prominent thinkers like Jeremy Ben Ami, Noam Chomsky, and Cornel West, this timely film investigates a generational divide impacting this community. Thousands of Jewish American clerics, academics and other public figures have signed a public letter calling on their fellow Jews to speak out against the occupation of ’67, and against what they call “Jewish supremacy” in Israel. British Palestinian film maker Farah Nabulsi, whose short film “The Present” appeared on Netflix will present “The Teacher”, her first full length feature film at the Toronto International Film Festival starting September 9th.
